From May 28 to 31, 2025, Padova Congress hosted the 111th National Congress of the Italian Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (SIO), one of the most important scientific events for the Italian otolaryngology community.
It was an event of great importance, both from a scientific point of view and in terms of participation, bringing together more than 2,000 specialists from all over Italy in Padua for four days, with a significant economic impact on the local area. The congress—an opportunity for updating, discussion, and multidisciplinary sharing—covered all the main areas of interest in the discipline, with parallel sessions, workshops, and training opportunities also dedicated to young professionals, who have always been at the center of the Society’s activities.
The scientific program covered a wide range of topics, including: audiovestibulology, facial plastic surgery, laryngology and phoniatrics, head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, OSAS and sleep-disordered breathing, otology and lateral skull base surgery, rhinology and anterior skull base surgery, biological therapies, and other topics of specialist and multidisciplinary interest.
The motto chosen for the 2025 edition – “Unity, innovation, updating” – reflects the spirit with which the SIO faces the challenges of scientific and clinical evolution, promoting the association as a driver of growth and collaboration.
Padova Congress provided the ideal setting for the conference: inaugurated in 2022 within the exhibition center, the venue can accommodate over 3,000 participants simultaneously, with plenary and modular rooms equipped with the latest technology, exhibition areas, and spaces dedicated to meetings and networking.
The conference also provided an opportunity to discover Padua, a city with a long university and cultural tradition, home to a rich historical and artistic heritage and a lively food and wine scene.
