She co-chaired the congress with Professor <strong>Umberto Cillo<\/strong>, Director of DiSCOG, and Professor <strong>Simone Mocellin<\/strong>, Director of the University of Padua\u2019s School of Specialisation in General Surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Around 350 delegates attended, including students and residents from across Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The awards for the best degree theses also attracted considerable interest, with a total prize fund of \u20ac15,000 awarded to 12 winning students from various Italian universities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe format worked well, and being involved in every stage of organising the congress was a highly valuable learning experience for our residents.
