From November 3 to 5, Padova Congress will host the 16th edition of ABAA \u2013 International Conference on Advanced Lithium Batteries for Automotive Applications (ABAA-16), an event that brings together the world&#8217;s leading experts in the field, academics, and industrialists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event, organized by Professors Vito Di Noto of the University of Padua and Khalil Amine of Argonne National Laboratory (USA), marks the conference&#8217;s return to Europe after six years and will be attended by approximately 500 delegates from 28 countries. The 52 speakers include internationally renowned names such as Peter Bruce, Yi Cui, Clare Grey, Gerbrand Ceder, Shirley Meng, Eric Wachsman, Kohei Uosaki, Michael Berube, William Chueh, Juliane Kluge, and Elena Ligabue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside the academic world, the conference will see the participation of leading automotive and industrial manufacturers, including Nissan, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, and Ferrari, together with leaders in the production of battery materials and components.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHosting the ABAA-16 conference means that Padua will be at the center of a crucial debate for the present and future of mobility and the automotive industry, which is undergoing an unprecedented transformation of its production paradigm,\u201d explains Professor Vito Di Noto. &#8220;During the conference, we will discuss the new generations of lithium-ion and post-lithium batteries, advanced materials for cathodes, anodes, and electrolytes, strategies for sustainability, recycling, and the circular economy, international policies and directives on batteries and electric mobility, with a particular focus on European, US, and Asian regulations, and the development and prospects of the global battery industry, with the direct participation of representatives from the industrial and automotive sectors.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stefania De Toni, head of Padova Congress, emphasizes: \u201cThe ABAA-16 conference represents an opportunity of extraordinary value for Padua, which welcomes researchers and companies from all over the world on a topic central to energy transition and sustainability.
